Winter Wonderland Ice Skating on Town Square

Every day during the winter season – skate rentals $15.00 or $8.00 with a local ID or skate FREE with your own skates. The enchanting lights of the arches and old world charm of the ice pond, provides a quintessential retreat to yesteryear, warmly welcoming all who come to the square. Come enjoy snow, ice, and laughter, as families mill around the ice and heat up by heaters with a steaming cup of hot cocoa or cider.

GLOW Nights is a month-long exhibit of original art installations that use colored and white light as a medium to celebrate the unique phenomena found in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). Produced by Jackson Hole Public Art, GLOW Nights artists draw inspiration from the megafauna, calderas, hot springs, and dramatic vistas that inspire.

Santa Drops in from the Tram

The magic of Santa Jackson Hole Style, this is not your usual sleigh arrival for the holiday star. Join us under the tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort around 4:30 PM for a special arrival and welcome the holiday season right! Please bring any last-minute letters for Santa Claus.

Santa will strap some skis on and conquer some of the greens off of Teewinot around 10 a.m. and then around Casper and Apres Vous lifts until noon.

NYE in Teton Village – GLOWWORM PARADE, TORCHLIGHT PARADE, AND FIREWORKS

Calling all kids! This New Years’ tradition substitutes glow sticks for torch lights. We will load the Sweetwater Gondola from 4:45-5:15 and the parade will start at 5:30pm. Kids will finish at the base of Sweetwater Gondola. Come dressed in skis and boots (no poles please). Participation is free and sign up is not required. Parents are not required to accompany skiers but are welcome to join.

The Torchlight Parade will begin shortly after the Glow Worm parade reaches the Sweetwater Gondola, at approximately 6:15, and fireworks will follow the torchlight parade.

Jackson Hole Town Downhill

The Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club has been hosting one of the few (if not the last) open, non-sanctioned community downhill races since 1982. The Jackson Hole Downhill has a team racing component, which offers a high-powered, high-caliber event celebrating alpine ski racing in Jackson and beyond. The traditional community race that Jackson locals know and love is still open to anyone and everyone with a need for speed.

The 2023 Wyoming Special Olympic Winter Games will be held in Teton Village at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This year Special Olympics Nordic and Snowshoe events will be held at Teton Pines, and events at JHMR will include Alpine divisions on Lower Werner on Teewinot, Werner Race Arena, Solitude Station and Solitude Way.

DICK’S DITCH CLASSIC BANKED SLALOM

Dick’s Ditch is a two-day banked slalom competition that runs on the man-made and natural terrain in Dick’s Ditch at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, from Lupine Way down to South Pass Traverse. Friday is an optional inspection day. Saturday’s run is a qualifier for the Sunday final. 70% of the field in each category advances to Sunday’s competition. More details coming soon.

45th Annual World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb 

Don’t miss the snowy thrills at the 2023 World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb! The Annual World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb draws nearly 10,000 spectators. It involves snowmobilers racing up a steep, narrow course to the summit of Snow King, which rises 1,500 vertical feet above the town of Jackson. Concession stands crowd the base of the mountain and snowmobile companies turn out to showcase the latest snowmobile gear.
