The Wilder Blue with Sterling Drake at the Virginian Saloon

The Wilder Blue
Sharp storytelling. Gripping and gorgeous five-part harmonies. Arrangements that can swing between fun, engaging, and lively one moment and stirring, booming, and chill-inducing the next. These are the essential elements that make up the sound of The Wilder Blue, the Texas five-piece who put their own spin on rock-influenced country with their eponymous sophomore album.
Built around the keen storytelling voice of primary frontman Zane Williams, Paul Eason’s salient lead guitar, the imaginative tandem of drummer Lyndon Hughes and bassist Sean Rodriguez, and the striking, compelling mind of multi-instrumentalist Andy Rogers, The Wilder Blue are only beginning to scratch the surface of their potential.
Sterling Drake
American recording artist & songwriter, Sterling Drake, has developed a passion for the tradition of Country & Roots music during his years spent between the northern Rocky Mountain ranges of Western Montana and Music City, USA . With influences spanning the Country music lineage from Rodger Miller to Keith Whitley, Drake was introduced to his idols during his formative years on his families generational ranch located in the Big Cypress region of Southern Florida. Drake honed in on his “country crooner” sound performing with his dancehall band at ranch rodeos and Honky-tonks across North America. Working closely in coordination with The Orchard, he released his debut ep in fall of 2021. Drake released his sophmore EP in fall of 2022 with more music on the way.

Featuring Bri Moore on lead vocal, backed by Adam Smith on guitar, Sam Lowenthal on bass, Galen Karnatz on keys, Shane Whitener on percussion, and Andrew Keehn on drums. Summer of 2022 added Jack Yaguda on saxophone and Bobby Griffith from Sneaky Pete on trumpet and vocals. The now 8-piece band features an eclectic mix of funk, soul, and reggae all intertwined with saucy improvisation. Sghetti blends a mix of classic and unique covers with original tunes cooked up in the Tetons that are guaranteed to have you moving and noodling on the dance floor.
